An avid color enthusiast, trendsetter and tastemaker, Amy Donato is PPG’s senior marketing manager, color and creative assets. She leads the strategy, production, merchandising, palette development and color trends forecasting for PPG’s well-known consumer paint brands in the U.S. and Canada, including GLIDDEN® and PPG paint.


Amy is a member of PPG’s Global Color Styling Team that researches and forecasts colors for the architectural, automotive, aerospace, industrial and consumer products markets. As an advocate for the power of color, Amy works alongside PPG retailers to influence and share her knowledge of color, including The Home Depot, Menards, independent retailers, and PPG Paints® stores. Using analytics and an insights-driven approach to the consumer buying journey, Amy leads the development of engaging online and in-store materials to make DIYers and pro painters alike excited about their next paint color choice.


Throughout Amy’s career at PPG, she has held marketing roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the launch of the PPG paint and stain brand at the Home Depot and PPG’s first national advertising campaign. Prior to joining PPG, Amy was an associate brand manager at the Kraft Heinz Company and an account executive at FedEx for high-end designers in New York’s Garment District. Prior to this, she interned at Ryan Homes, sparking her interest in home design.
Amy has been featured in influential publications including the Zoe Report, InspireDesign, the Houston Chronicle and more. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Pittsburgh and her Masters of Business Administration from West Virginia University. Amy also serves on the Women’s Leadership Council at PPG.
